Graphic Design  //  Copywriting

Inspired by the embellishment of illuminated manuscripts, I wanted to give the guests a hint of the theme of the Scotts-Irish wedding but with a more simplified style.

Both the bride and groom appreciate history, tattoo art, and comic books which I took into account when combining the graphic-style love birds with Celtic knots which represent eternity. Details of the wedding include nods to history with the groomsmen wearing traditional kilts made in Scotland and the bridemaids carrying bouquets of heather, thistle and greenery. At the same time, the bride is wearing a blue dress and prefers opal over a diamond ring, so I wanted the invitation to complement their unique mix of old and new.

An Opalescent Rainbow of Color

With the bride’s subdued wedding palette, I was able to create a softened Celtic wedding invitation and a colorfully-textured emblem.
